In Perm, volunteers collected over 10 tons of garbage in the small rivers valleys

Within the «Spring Clean Cup-2023» eco-activists carried out  a trash-cleanup  action organized in  «Clean Games»  in the  valleys of the rivers Danilikha, Uinka, Zelyonka. Over  400 people took part in the «Spring Clean Cup».

As reported by the  Department for Ecology and Nature Resources Management of the Perm City Administration , “Clean Games”   is a team competition for collecting  and sorting the  garbage collected from natural territories with its further delivery for processing. In Perm the «Clean Games» have been organized  by the city’s eco-activists  since 2017.

According to preliminary information, 287 people from 56 teams took part in the «Clean Games» in the valley of the Danilikha River. As a result, a total of 679 garbage bags were collected  containing approximately 6 tons of waste.  The «Clean Games» in the valley of the Zelenka river btought together  112 people from 32 teams,  who collected a total of 361 garbage bags containing  3.7 tons of waste, of which  504 kg are large debris, 1 ton of car tires, 36 aluminum cans, 150 bags of glass, 73 bags of plastic, 8 metal bags and 130 mixed garbage bags, 25 batteries.

80 people from 25 teams took part in the Uiinka River Valley, they collected 194 garbage bags, containing  1.6 tons of waste, of which  288 kg  are  large-sized waste, 126 kg of tires, 34 aluminum cans, 62 bags of glass, 18 bags of plastic, 3 metal bags and 110 mixed garbage bags, 5 batteries.

Over  a half of the waste will be  recycled at  the eco-technopark of   «Bumatika» company. The winners of the competition were awarded diplomas and prizes.

The event was supported by the Perm Regional  Ministry of Natural Resources   and the  the  Department for Ecology and Nature Resources Management of the Perm City Administration.
